I’m planning to write a short story about an experience I had a long time ago while travelling on the road between San Sebastian and Bilbao on Spain’s Atlantic coast. I think it may have been on the stretch between San Sebastian and the little resort of Orio. Though not essential for my story, it would be interesting to have some pictures, reminiscences, travel news, background and just general information about this region where I plan to set the story. All assistance would be much appreciated, as would any suggestions where I could send this request so that people living in that part of the world might see it. Is there a Spanish Yahoo! Answers? The reason that I would like some memory joggers is that the event I’m thinking of took place 40 years ago.

Hello!
I live on that coast, in a little village called Sukarrieta, (maybe 40 years ago was called Pedernales, as bask names weren't allowed yet). A lot of names have changed since then, maybe that's why you miss some answers looking a map.
I find that the easiest way to find pictures is to use google images, or flickr.com, where you can search images just writting the name of the place. Check this sites:

I don't really know what kind of information you need, but please do not hesitate in asking (I'm not an expert in history unfortunatelly, and I'm not even 40 years old to remember but it would be great to help you....as far as i can)

so take Alicante. Madrid, San Sebastian and Bilbao are very severe priced. In Alicate you vave the sea coast good on the city, the elements is larger than interior some thing else of the named cities, fantastically in iciness. and many cultural activities too. possibly not as a lot as in Madrid, yet sufficient to save you occupied. the human beings are right here extra open too.

I have also travelled along this road but I have no photos and only passed through. Good look with your story, I do remember it being a beautifull place that I would love to return to. There is a Spanish Yahoo answers, scroll down the page and you'll find all the countries, just click on Spain.
