Being offended is a choice. People do what they do and I can choose to be offended or not. I can also choose not to associate intimately with people who mock my beliefs, feelings, or choices.

Taking offense has lead to too many wars.

I've not heard of that term until you typed it here, but YES, I do think people would be offended by it. I on the other hand say, live and let others live too. If it doesn't get anyone hurt, then why make a big scene. Merry "Chrimbo", and Happy New Year!

Not half as offended as I do when people substitute 'Christmas' with 'holidays'.

I get the impression that christians are ashamed of their faith.
