Yes, anything would have been possible provided there were to be sufficient time and resources..... since both these are irretrievably limited in our life, we need to make choices....... in making our choice, we apply a sensible approach and gun for what we believe we can reasonably expect to achieve....... having decided to go for it, we work on it and here comes the catch.... while working on it, we understand our objective and the possibilities better... so the goal-post keeps shifting........ the dynamic goal post finally is where we can make it.... and that is how we see that anything is possible within reason.
The above may appear a bit sarcastic, but in my sincere view it is the true picture of our life as it unfolds in respect of our important aims and achievements.

One would have to 'believe' that anything is possible, since 'anything' is not possible. Perfection in the purest sense of the word is impossible because chaos is intrinsic to the universe. Human beings also cannot be omniscient and know everthing. The list of impossibilities goes on.
Regardless of what can and can't be done, humans are free to believe in whatever they may--limited only by the boundaries of their language and imagination. 'Reason' may also be a sobering force when coupled with empiricism (the use of evidence), logic, and other methodologies.
By itself, Reason doesn't completely validate nor invalidate possibilities. Testing possibilities, examining, and interpreting evidence are also part of the process of discerning what 'is' and what 'is not'.
It is, however, more likely that humans can believe in 'any possibility,' regardless of intention, than it is for those possibilities to truly exist.
Their existence is not hinged on human perception and human 'faith.'
Yet, for the sake of the future, human artifice (inventions, creations, and destruction'), is something that humans can effect insofar as possibilities are concerned. In that way, the actions that human beings undertake can make certain creations and destruction possible.

No, "anything" (understood within the context of your question) is not possible. No matter how hard some people try, they will never be mathematicians, scientists or philosophers. Biology or genetics prevents some people from being successful participants of the contemplative life. It prevents others from being good at sports or certain tasks. I see this happen everyday.
Is it possible for anyone to be President of the United States? Of course not. One's socio-economic status, race or gender will probably continue to prevent certain individuals from ever being ruler of the free world.

Anything within the realm of physics and that is not overdependent on large groups of indepedent others. The question is: are you the kind of person who can summon an ongoing faith, work ethic, and love for reaching your goal? And remember, being this kind of person depends the level of resonance between you and your goal.

Man, philosophically speaking, is infinite. Man can do anything and can be anything if he wants. Anything is possible. Man has proven this by creating great structures and ingenious inventions with science and technology.
The only barrier that man has towards his dreams are other men and their self.
As long as man continue to hope, the possibilities are endless.

Yes. If you dream it, achieve it and make the impossible possible. Long ago, reaching the outer space is impossible and people will say that you're mad, but now, it's something that can be done. =)
