If it means there's no sim card i'd certainly think twice before purchasing such a phone, those sim cards are worth something like 100.00. So! consider the price you'll pay for the phone and whether it's worth bying without the sim included. Be careful! all sim cards are not compatible with certain types of phones. A sim card is used to activate your phone, without a sim card you can't use the phone, and it stores all your contact numbers within. Be careful that the phone has not been reported as stolen otherwise you'll not be able to activate it.

This means that you don't need to have a Sim card in the phone to use it and that all of your information is saved on the phones memory chip. Also that this specific phone wont work for companies such as cingular and suncom who use Sim cards.

it means it comes with out a SIM card meaning it won't work until you get one on one of the networks (O2 Orange TMobile etc).

These are either free (see o2.co.uk) or upto £10.

cheers
