how to install active directory services in win xp?and why its used?

you need your server install disk, the program is in a tools folder not the I386 folder...
why - well thats for security reasons.

1st - the server is in a small cold closet.
2nd - you should only log in with just enough permission - not too much.
3rd - you can log in from any worksatation and get what you need done.

Refer help & support to install it and it is used for internet purposes
