Leonardo da Vinci was born on the 15th April, 1452 in a village called Anchiano, Italy. His mother left him and his father (Ser Piero) raised him. Between his mother and father he had 17 half brothers and sisters. He was raised as a Roman Catholic.

Uh, what kinda question is that? It was their own personal choice, I don't see why it would matter and I doubt anyone has a valid answer to that question but them.
