I don't necessarily adore them but I do respect them.I am not much of a fan of old movies and so I can't say I am a fan of Judy Garland because I really never saw anything other then The Wizard of OZ that had her in it, as far as I know. And the other two ladies you mention, are women who have overcome a lot and have produced a lot of success and have been friends to the GLBT community and so I can't help but admire them. But adore? That's a bit of a strong word.

Chalk me up as another gay male who's not at all into Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, and Cher. But, for some odd reason, I do know that Streisand's first name is spelled Barbra, not Barbara.

Well my guess is because Barbara and Cher both look like males impersonating females.
Streisands face is ugly as hell and Cher too me looks like a football player in drag.
Ahh but leaves Garland...seemingly attractive lady. Her daddy was gay...seriously... and I think this brought her up to be more tolerant of gay/lesbians...which was very hard to come by in her time. She more often performed in gay bars and had many friends that were gays. She even married a couple of gay guys.

I'm gay as the day is long and have never understood the Diva thing.
I think Judy Garland had a great voice but I can't see sitting around playing her music. Barbra is just nasty and Cher hasn't had a decent recording since she left Sonny.
If I was going to get obsessed with a celebrity (something I don't think I'll ever do) it would be with a hunky man.

relies upon...ask your self right here: a million. Are you basically a fan or do you want to be them? 2. did you recognize each music they have ever performed? 3. Do you want the employer of adult males to ladies human beings? 4. Do you want you'll nicely be James Brolin, Peter Allen, Sonny Bono or Greg Allman and word what that's favor to be married to Barbra, Liza, or Cher? 5. Do you want you've been Barbra, Liza, or Cher and word what that's favor to be married to James, Peter, Sonny and Greg? in case you responded 'definite' to questions a million, 2, or 4, you're basically a fan, which that is punctiliously a chance to be. in case you responded definite to questions 3 and 5, besides to helpful solutions to any of the different questions, probability is in case you at the on the spot are not gay, you've reliable inclinations....and are nonetheless a fan!

I am gay as hell:but as the adoration for those hags go:can't be bothered.Streisand has a very blgh personality Who the F. is Garland:someone from the middle ages?.Cher is the only one I like coz she is the one who gives crap about who ever criticizes her,But I would never buy her music. So in fact:can't be bothered.I don't idolize people at all.
I keep both feet on the ground:that's hard enough already.

Because of what they each represent.
Each was never considered a real beauty, they were outcasts coming up, Hollywood was unkind to all three of them, but they overcame being ostracized and came out on top. And each one of those women came out on top without ever compromising who they were.
Gay men will always cheer for the underdog---we're bonded in that we understand one another's struggle (and you don't have to be a fan of these three to know that). Not only that, but each one, in her own way, has strongly (and publicly) supported the Gay & Lesbian community at times when it could've damaged their careers for doing so. Very few artists today would even do that!
*Well, that and have you ever heard Streisand sing? She's amazing!

Stereotype alert!
Although I adore Madonna... but I don't get all obsessed and hysterical about her. That's just silly. I appreciate what they do and can relate to them about some things, but that's where it ends.
