Fear, I lived in Ca. and have been through many of them. A friend was here for the Whittier earthquake in the 80's and had never been through one before and it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. The running around and "what should we do?" was a scream.

what starts with an earthquake? an earthquake can be an earthquake on its own nothing has to follow it but usually a volcanic eruption if there is an active volcano around, and if plates collide in the sea then this cases a tidal wave
