First of all buy a tire pressure gauge and keep it in your car.
You will find the recommended tire pressure on a little white sticker on the driver's door frame. Usually has the recommended tire size for the vehicle as well.

There is stickers on the drivers door frame or the door itself that will tell you the PSI needs to be for the tires if it not there its usually located in the trunk lid. usually 32psi is common pressure. but do not go by whats marked on the tire itself thats just the max pressure rating. Usually that rating is 35 to 40 PSI. Your risking a blow out going over 35PSI. it would help if We knew what make and model and year the car is.. and Tire Gauges are everywhere most gas stations will lend you one. or buy one for a dollar.

Buy a tyre pressure gauge.
I despair sometimes, I really do. The amount of motorists who don't know the most basic things about their cars really scares me.

on the side of the wheel it will have your tire number, next to it in small letters it will tell you, if that doen't help look in yur manual that you got with the car, if that doesn't work call the dealer you bought the car from and ask them. The last resort his to call a local tire place that sells tires only, give then the brand of you tire and the number on the wheel,I know they can tell you

Stop in your local convenience store and ask if you can borrow theirs. Usually they will have one that they keep for customers to borrow.
