My dad, who died 8 years ago, his funeral was on Christmas eve & my beatiful wife, who died last year aged 49.
For me christmas is just something we have to get through, it is a very sad time of year.
God bless & merry christmas.
PS keep all the sarcastic & funny questions coming. I think that some people take you too serious & arent in tune with your sense of humour.

I miss my ex-girlfriend a heck of a lot around Christmas even though I'm now more than happily married and have two lovely sons.
Emma and I had some fantastic times and even though we went out for 3 years or so it was a holiday romance. I was 18 when we met and 21 when we split. I was still a boy and was, frankly, an idiot. I treated her badly and deserved to be dumped by her.
None of this stops me thinking about her ... more at this time of year as I know she has the children she desperately wanted and that she's done well for herself.
I do miss her and wonder what would have happened if I hadn't been a fool. That said I love my own life right now and wouldn't change it for the world.

My Dearest Nan, never say Nanny, she hated that word, she said it made her feel old!! lol x Tears come tomy eyes every time i think of her and how i will never see her peircing blue eyes again. I love her so much it hurts, no one will ever understand.
She died when i was still a little little girl, about 12, and im now basicaly 19, but as i get older, it becomes more sadder 4 some reason. I reckon its cause the older i get, themore i realise that i am never gonna see her again and we never got the chance to grow up with Nan around us, Nan never got to have a proper conversation with me about stuff that i am in to now.
I miss her sooooo much, i just wish i could feel her by my side, but i cant yet, i beleive it takes about 10 years for a spirit to be able to contact the living, and i know deep inside me that when she is able, she will let me know she is somewhere up there waiting for me.
I have to beleive that, otherwise its just too scary and painful to think about. Where do loved ones go if there aint a heaven. There must be a heaven.

Tottally Know how you feel for I miss my Grandmother the most around the Holiday's for she's the one that made the holiday's the best for the family with her backing, cooking, christmas, presents, (She alway's got us what we wanted) and just doing all of those old holiday traditions. the best thing to do is keep those people you miss dearly in yuor heart during the holiday's and light a candel for them and take what they thought yuo and add it into your own life and the way you treat others. ALL my best and HAppy Holiday's

Don't go to the cemetery then. I lost my mother last year (2005) and I have never been to the cemetery once since. Still a day doesn't go by without me thinking of her at least once, and the profound influence she had on my life.
Every action I take still, is done in the hope that it would make her more proud of me if she was still around, but when she was around, it didn't matter what mistakes I made - she was still there for me and proud of me regardless.
I will be saying Merry Christmas to her from the comfort of my home on Monday morning, but it will be no less poignent for me that if I went out to the cemetery to do it.
Everyone to their own though, and I hope you have a good Chistmas and New Year. Better to have know and lost than never to have known.

I miss my Mum and Dad, my 2 brothers and my cats.
Because of distance, I cant go to the cemetery to visit my family but I don't need to as they are all in my heart every day. I buy flowers for them on each anniversary and talk to them often in my head. I do believe our loved ones can hear us.
God Bless all who are grieving at this time.

My dog.... she was put down a few years ago and we really miss her at xmas as she was always the one hanging around the chocolate boxes with a pleading face and a wagging tail for everyone.
I know its a weird choice when theres people that have passed on etc - but she really was one of the family
Happy xmas!
xx

I feel you brother, sad memories are something unexplainable but it`s the love that keep`s you going on. Sad moments are not forever especially if you think about where that fellow is going, where he or she will be throgh life eternity and you are convienced it`s gonna be all blissful then you don`t have to be sad for long you just wave them good night, see you on that glorious morning.
Merry christmas .

Yes, there's something about Christmas that makes us think of people we loved who are no longer with us. I miss my Dad, but also the happy Christmases we had when my children, now grown up, were young and living at home.
