I'm obsessive over things matching, especially in the kitchen. As a whole I don't mind if the plates don't go with the saucepans, I'm not that bad. But if a knife or a fork goes missing from a set of cutlery, then I have to go and buy a new set and chuck out the old ones. The same with dinner services. If a plate gets broken I'll replace the lot with a new set.
The stupid thing is, I'd never thought of this as strange until I just did my own little spell and grammar check on what I've just written. Never seen it written down before......now I think I may be a fruit-loop.
