seems to me like you cant go in chat anymore without all these girls on cam just looking for everyone to notice them...are girls in general like this or is it more of an phenomenon that you find accompanies the type of people that come online...what happened to good normal chat w/o all the fighting and drama and attention mongers?

Those are bots, and not real girls. Girls go on webcams to make money. I'd try a different chat room. I tried using the yahoo ones, but with all the bots, it's almost impossible to have a normal conversation. It's hard to find good normal chat even when the people are real, but you might be able to somewhere.

I guess it also depends on the geography and culture of the women you are talking to. I chat with people from Russia, India, some in US and we just have a great time chating and talking about stuff without a webcam. Nobody competes infact if the conversation gets interesting people jump in. Guys and Girls. I don't think what you have mentioned above is true as a phenomenon, and certainly the gender is not even a point to think about. I think attention seeking people come from both sexes.

The ones who come in with weird names or post the same things over and over about cams or some sexual stuff are what chatters call "Bots" meaning they are computer generated users who go into chat rooms after paying yahoo a certain price and are allowed to advertise their porn sites and whatnot, and in turn, yahoo chat is free. If it weren't for the attention getting "bots" you would have to pay for yahoo chat, so you get what you pay for there.

I have to tell you it's not just a phenomina found with the women in yahoo chat, the men are just as bad if not worse. I know it does not speak well of me, being a man myself but, it is alas true. I try to be a gentleman untill it's time not to be a gentleman.
