The wall represents him isolating himself from society, the entire CD references his mother, his father dieing in the war, drugs, a bad school life.

All these things were "bricks" that added up to isolating him from the world.

The whole CD "The Wall" is great, download or buy it, you'll understand and enjoy.

I always thought it was all people are the same and meaningless

but after reading the lyrics I see
the wall was a wall that he put up in his mind against whatever was hurting him

so another brick was just one more bad thing
that happened to him
to add to the wall

The wall is that which separates him from the rest of humanity, from the ability to feel. And, I suspect, most specifically from the female of the species. And every disappointment, every time he got treated like just another sheep in the pen, each hurt was another brick in the wall.

usually that brick in the wall simbolizes his relationships with other people, and the "another brick in the wall" means another ordinary relationship...I GUESS

that they are just another person in this world... that they dont really have any impact on the world around them... thats how i always interperted it..
