In General a full-time contract requires 8 hours of working with a 15 minute break 5 days a week, or 40 hours. Of course there are also 3/4, half and 1/4 time contracts as well.
Many people working for large companies work longer than this and work as many as 12 hours a day.

The law states a 40 hour working week (8 hours per day, 5 days). You can make about 10% overtime.

In practice it depends on your position and company. I average about 65-70 hours per week
