Graduates in commerce can join for MCA course..Master of Compute Application. It is 3 year course...If you are joining in engineering colleges where there is campus placements, you can get into software companies. This is a long term plan. But in case, if you are not interested in doing post graduations, you can join for diploma courses or other NIIT courses, which helps you to get into software industry.

The best thing you can do is join NIIT & do their GNIIT course.By doing so , you get to learn all the important things you need to know in the software field , & good thing is at the end of course you are sent on the job training & if you perform well , then sky is the limit for you.
