Well, when it comes to light, it is energy without any form as often this form is referred as radiation. Assume that due to action a kind of radiation is produced (I am taking a very simple case as for simplicity.) say from my house bulb. Now the radiation which is emitted by the bulb, will be absorbed by the next element in media (in this case air) and depending on its chemical characteristics (valency electrons like stuff)
1. it will either emit outer-most electron resulting a glow or
2. just passes the radiation to other elements when it is collided or
3. simply absorbs and returns in a not known state.
So radiation is form-less or it is mutant or polymorphic. But when it comes to materials such as human beings, aero-jets etc., they can transform themselves into another form.
This can be achieved if we can understand the process of mutation and polymorphic nature.

It is impossible for a mass body because:
1) The principle of Special Relativity would be violated: in the frame of reference travelling at the speed of light (i.e. the body) light would not propagate, it would travel at zero velocity. Therefore, the laws of physics are not the same in all inertial frames of reference.
2) When an object is accelerated more and more energy is required to increase its velocity. Why? Because not all the supplied energy goes to increment the velocity; some of it goes to increment the inertia of the object. When energy is supplied to the body its kinetic energy increases always but the faster the body is travelling the more its kinetic energy is higher but what contributes is the increasing mass with velocity.
K = mc^2/sqrt(1-v^2/c^2) = mc^2 + 1/2mv^2 + 3/8mv^4/c^2 + ...

Light has no problem travelling at the speed of light.
But for humans the consequenses are not pretty. As an object is accelerated toward the speed of light its dimensions change. We would become distorted.
The universe has a built in speed limit and the speed of light is it.
Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawkings are two authors who deal with this kind of subject.

Einstein said that the closer any object with mass gets to the speed of light the more massive it will become. Since he said that it's been proven many times to be true. To get some object like a spaceship up to the speed of light would require infinite energy, and that means all the energy in the entire universe. Obviously that's not possible.

To understand this you need to understand what happens to the dimension of a body and its weight when it travels faster. When the body reaches the speed near to light, the weight of the body would reach near infinity and the length will be near 0. If that happens it will not be the original body anymore. At that point all matters would be converted to energy.

because nobody has done a machine that would make you travel at the speed of light so that makes it not impossible but pretty hard to do
that is if a human can actually survive the flight take for example the case of astronaut some of them have lost oxygen in their brain while doing a practice test to go to the space
so they are made to travel at a high speed machine but that speed is not even close to the speed of light and yet some are actually vomiting given the kind of training they have to be prepared on that kind of flight

Hi, My friend
DO U KNOW the SPEED OF LIGHT.
Just read it and think what will be the speed.
I hope the speed of light/Speed of thought could not be compared, they how can u imagine travelling at that speed.

whenever any person or institute has tried it has been a utter failure travelling at the spped of light changes the object, i mean one cannot receive the same form on the other end
and believe me the only reason behind this impossibility is JESUS said Iam the light of the world, and i am sure noone else can overcome his words
let there be several proverbs for impossible-as it is possible, but noone till the coming of Jesus will be in a situation to change this theory
after all he has said I am the light of the world who so ever follows mw shall never find darkness

E=mc2
E/m=c2
(E/m) -2 =c
it requires nearly infinate energy to travel the speed of light and it woudl mean that you woul have nearly infinate mass upon traveling the speed of light.

"JESUS said Iam the light of the world, and i am sure noone else can overcome his words". Blah...
I'm so sick of these religious idiots.
When its convenient you quote the theories of sience, and when that same sience proves your fantasies don't exist, you attack it as the biggest lie.
I wonder when you're going to use a quote from darwin to prove that religion is true.
Back to the issue...one of the oldest filosophical problems is...is movement possible? Here is another one. What is time? What is matter? So what are we assuming when we state ..."some matter is traveling , this much in so much time."
Hell, we have no idea what were talking about.
