a biome is a major ecological community: a division of the world’s vegetation that corresponds to a particular climate and is characterized by certain types of plants and animals, for example, tropical rain forest or desert.
The world’s lakes and oceans may also be considered biomes, although they are less susceptible to climatic influences than terrestrial biomes.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In ecology, a biome is a major regional group of distinctive plant and animal communities best adapted to the region's physical natural environment, latitude, altitude, and terrain. A biome is made up of communities at stable steady state and all associated transitional, disturbed, or degraded, vegetation, fauna and soils, but can often be identified by the climax vegetation type.

The biodiversity characteristic of each biome, especially the diversity of fauna and subdominant plant forms, is a function of abiotic factors and the biomass productivity of the dominant vegetation. Species diversity tends to be higher in terrestrial biomes with higher net primary productivity, moisture availability, and temperature.

Co evolution is basically the evolution that is caused by 2 species that interact an influence each other. Therefore all predator prey relationships are examples of this. Not very fit or stable to support a wide range of species, species have to be ideally adapted for the climate.
