It would depend on which Iraqi you asked. Those living in fear, no jobs, tortured, murdered victims families etc. would say "hurray for the US". Those closest to Saddam probably hate this because they are no longer living rich and free to roam.
But, in the end, I'd say 100% of them would say they are now scared. When you live life they way they did for as long as they did, another way of life is scary.
And Bush did just admit last week that this war was wrong and that there's no way the US can win. It shouldn't have been done they way it all unfolded. You can't barrel into another country and expect it to become just like you when Bush was acting out of anger at the time, and not with his head screwed on right.

Well, judging by the number of Americans still being killed there, I'd say at least some of them are pretty upset! I've also read some Iraqi blogs online and they were not happy with what we have done. We've done a lot of damage and little repair -- and I don't mean just physical damage. We had no right to invade in the first place and our behavior there (al Ghraib, etc) has not always been exemplary.

While lot of Iraqis do support USA vast majority wanted us to leave and had unfavorable view. In 2004 or sometime later they stop doing polls in Iraq when the numbers for those who want us out got so high. Now you don't see any independent poll studies coming out from Iraq anymore on TV.

at the moment some of them happy they got rid of Saddam ..... but they got rid of Saddam to get a bigger force worse than Saddam ...its amazing to think that Iraqis couldn't kill each other the same way its happening now when Saddam ruled them, they said he killed so many but i don't think as many as bush ... i am sure they will hate u.s.a more and more each day if this street war didn't stop.... they feel unjustice...they are paying the price 4 bush and i realy think the y.s.a troops should go home they r wasting their lives for nothing.

Some will be happy - especially those who had a problem or two with the Saddam regime. Others will be unhappy because their life is in hardship now and there are chaos everywhere.
I think majority may not be happy at the moment.

I think that they are thankfull that we got rid of ol Saddam but impatient and angry that everything has turned into chaos over there. I read that when we showed up they thought America could do anything, like we were gods with all our technology and money so we could fix their nation easily and time has proven otherwise.

What exactly has the USA done? You would really be surprised how many are thankful we are there; trying to make their country a better place. It's really a shame no one ever hears about the good things.
