If I understand your use of the term, this is someone with whom you have a contract. A written contract, of which you have a copy. Read it. Read it very carefully, and if there's anything that seems unfair or unreasonable to you, call the person with whom you have a contract and discuss it. You may want to withdraw from the contract if you are not satisfied with the answers.

And resolve never to sign something you don't read, at least to scan for loopholes, ever again.

If there is someone to whom you refer as a "headhunter" who does NOT have a contract with you, then he gained access to information about you from someone (probably a web site) with whom you do have a contract. Read that one.
