May be your question is if one should drink more water while suppementing the vitamin c ? May be your understanding is not clear. People started saying that it is always better to drink a lots and lots of water for cleansing the system.....Yes ofcourse it is needed these days but not beyond the limits because the minerals or the vital fluids in the body system gets diluted with water and there by you get deficiency . The amount of water requires is naturally is demanded by the body itself, and it changes from region to region and sodium balances in the body.
But it is better to take atleast 8 glassess of water per day.
May be you were asking if you intake vitamin C in natural supplement form , if one should go for drinking more water ? like lime juice or any sour things ??? May be this option is correct because more intake of sour things cause acidity and to neautralise the acids is only the water. I do not think the c vitamin in capsule or tablet form nee any excessive water. Some times it is needed to supplement the vitamin c medically to improve the resistance power of the immune system......But any vitamins or minerals supplemented naturally with food intake is good.
Guess your question is answered properly.

Vitamin C has no effect on how much water you need during the day. You most likely don't need the 8 or more glasses we are all assured we need (without proof) but 6 might be a good number. More important is the quality of the water you drink. It should be specially filtered to remove the flouride and chlorine which are terrible for your health and that will remove the possible other carcinogins like rocket fuel, etc. Flouride destroys the thyroid and is a major reason thyroid cancer is running wild, not to mention hypothyroidism. You can buy big empty bottles (5 gal) and refill them cheaply at many grocery stores, or you can have bottled water delivered (spring is best) or for greatest convenience, install a VERY GOOD water filter.

any vitamin c in excess of what your body needs will be flushed out of your system in urine on a daily basis. the more you drink the faster it will be flushed out. but your body will still hold on to the amount it needs. thats why vitamin c supplements are pretty much useless..unless your not getting an adequate amount in your diet. but if you eat a well balanced diet daily you dont need to worry about getting enough. highest sources are: sweet red peppers, cabbage, broccoli, citrus fruits, strawberries and kiwi.if you eat one of these foods everyday, a supplement is a total waste of money. you may as well just throw money in the toilet when you pee, cuz thats where all the excess vitamin c is going.

I don't think vitamin C can take the place of water. Anyway, water helps your body run effieiently. That means it will put that vitamin C where it needs to be when you drink water.
