"**** tha Police" is a protest song by the controversial hip hop group "N.W.A" on the album (Straight Outta Compton).
first released in 1988 as an exclusive song for the 1988 album, and later released in a 12" in 1989. It ranked #417 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, and is the group's only song on the list.
