Love is the result of endorphins in your brain being released. These endorphins have been placed in our bodies by evoloution because they assist us to pass on our genes.

Yes, it does mean so many different things to different people.
To me it is a term so variously used and understood I avoid using it, unless it is carefully defined in context.
At least the Greeks had four words for it.
When I know what it is, I may be able to tell someone "I love you" without great fear of being misunderstood. Assuming the other person sees "love" the same way is almost always a mistake.

love is something that no one can live without. I believe in order to recieve love, you must give it. Love is when you can't live witout the object of your desire. Sometimes love is hard and love can cause a lot of pain, and sometimes love is the greatest thing ever created... it can bring you up to the sky or bring you lower than dirt. Love is basically everything...

Love to me is knowing that you can trust someone - being there for them, and them being there for you. Love is knowing and caring, understanding that person that you love. Love is so complicated, but love is so simple.
