How can I tell my heart to finally let go of some one? Quick review: I was married to a girl for about 3 years, seperated and divorced for 14 years, reunited lived together for less than a year, and had a on again off again long distance relationship for the last year. Now out of the blue she tells me she is in love with and wants to marry some other guy that she supposedly just started dating. Yea right.
Anyway, even though I know we were through a long time ago why can't I make myself stop loving her and wanting her back?
I must be insane, huh?

Since I got the news from my ex I have been with another woman. The problem is it only left me feeling guilty like I had cheated. I will admit I really enjoyed it at the time but I did still feel guilty afterwards.

Your heart will never let go of someone that you truly loved--that said, what you can do is find someone new. Maybe you need to find the inner peace with in yourself, and make your life fulfilled, where you are not feeling like you need to be with this woman--who quite obviously isn't meant to be with you/you with her, if you were you would still be together. Find a hobby, exercise or find something else to occupy your mind. I once took classes on handwriting analysis. It was fascinating, it gave me something to do and ended up being a great conversation starter for me when I was meeting other people! Make your life complete, then find someone to share it with!!

If you and her are meant to be with eachother, she'll come back to you again... Looks to me like she's exploring life, getting some freedom.... Maybe this is serrious, maybe it isn't.... Give her some time, you may not get over her hun....

Do you have self respect! I promise if you forgiving her for things that a man with self respect would not for give, well all I can say is dude if you don't think your worth more or deserve more than don't expect another women too.

No, you are not insane! you have lots of history with this girl and it's normal to still be in love with her! That does not mean that you should try to get her back...she wants someone else! You need to let her go and move on....good luck!

Yeah you are. - that said sometimes (although it's not the best method) we need something to fill the void in our lives when we are missing somerthing or someone. Why don't you find someone else to fill that void - then you won't have time to think about your two-timming Ex

no- you are not insane.A break up is a very hard thing to do and takes along time to get over.so, keep your chin up high and don't look back just keep going because there is the right one out there for you
