There is oxygen in space, just not nearly enough to survive on. Space is not a vaccum like many people believe.

The space is empty and there is nothing as the space occupied by the universe in it is infinitesimal and insignificant considerint the vastnes of he space. thre is no possibility of oxygen existing or producing in the space .Asany matter would be attracted by the masses of the planets . the free elctrons that are in the spce are also not prevelant in the entire space and are nothing in comaparsion to the vastness of the space . sooxygen does not form in space so freely but would be produced only in the atmospher eof some planets or stars only.

Earth is surrounded by an atmosphere of particular gases which make up the air we breath. These gases are produced by the plant life on earth, and some are there naturally. Gravity holds these gases to only few miles out. After you get past that point there is nothing in space to breath.

There is oxygen on earth because of the atmosphere, surrounding it. And the atmosphere is due to various factors like gravitatonal force of earth, water, etc... In space, As there is no atmosphere, there is no oxygen. :)

Is there water in space? Breaking up H2O (water) will give you O2 (oxygen).

space is vacuum,ie., there wont be any matter or molecules etc... all matter or particles or molecules like oxygen will be pulled around a gravity center like our earth.u can find only cosmic & electro magnetic waves in space.

There is no gravity to hold any kind of atmosphere, so it just goes to other bodies, like planets.
