Because white adoptable children under the age of twelve are rare and had to find. I know what my answer sounds like but it's the truth and I stand by it.

Babies are not the only ones who need to be adopted. There are a half million children in foster care in the U.S. Of those, 150,000 are waiting for adoptive homes, but everyone wants babies. The babies that are getting adopted are not the ones that are at risk for abortions. The ones that were at risk for abortion are staying with their bio families until they are abused or neglected and then entering foster care. That is where people who really want to be parents need to step in and help out. There is a huge shortage of adoptive homes for foster children.

Dearest Sophie,In Lazytown I have 3 beautiful children plus 3 sponcered children,I am against abortion so I use birth control,But if I had another child it would be welcome....even with you.My stance is for being responsible for your actions in a grown-up world.Their are points to this arguement like,Why didn't you take the morning after pill?...What if she was raped?...What if it was your daughter.?...All should be looked at individually and accessed accordingly...But for the most part I'm against it,and I'm doind my part to make the world a better place...what are you doing?

Would have loved too. But as I didn't make over 75 grand a year and had been divorced once they made it almost impossible when I was first married. Now that I can honestly I am too old. Why don't they change adoption laws so that the average American can. Seems that money is the highest priority or was 15 years ago. Maybe they should look at the family's first and their values. Seems much more important to me

What makes you think that anti-abortion crowd cares about children?

It's all about hating sex, hating women. So they punish women who get pregnant by forcingt hem to have kids,

If you argue with an anti-abortion person long enough, they will eventually say "Well, if a woman wants choice, she should choose to keep her legs closed."

Yes Papa62, now why don't all these people who want to save fetuses put so much pressure on the Vatican that it HAS to fold on the birth control issue.
Worldwide, how many less pregnancies would there be if birth control was actively supported and partially financed by this largest of religious organizations! Abstinence is great to preach, but birth control works.
The Vatican's hands aren't totally clean of that blood .

it's difficult to adopt a child in the US??? you've got to be kidding me. thousands of children cry theirselves to sleep at night wanting a home. if you do your research you can adopt domestically cheaper than internationally. either way adoption is as personal of a choice as abortion. good question!

How about adopt one child let alone more. It's not about the kids, it's about controlling other people and their choices. The same people whining about abortion have no problem spending hundreds of billions of dollars on war and killing. I'm sure their god is very proud. It's the do as I say, not as I do mentality. Our sons and daughters are in Iraq killing and being killed, while many Americans don't make enough money to climb out of the holes our society and government allow to exist. Let's talk about morals.

Ha. That is the best question I have heard in a long, long time.

Seriously. If it's so easy to afford kids and we feel that not even the poverty-stricken drug-users should consider abortion in their lives, then why don't the pro-life advocates help them out a bit. Seems slightly hypocritical to me if they refuse.

P.S. What do you mean, anti-choicers expect people to be responsible and use birth control? Probably about seventy percent of them _condemn_ the use of birth control. Brilliant!

You must not know very many pro-life people, because they ARE adopting babies. I personally know pro-life people who have adopted sibling groups from Africa. I also know of others who have adopted babies born with drug addictions, babies who have disabilities, and babies with all types of racial backgrounds.

Are you aware that there are currently about 2 million people waiting to adopt children right now in the U.S. alone? There is NO shortage of adoptive homes. There is a reason why people spend tens of thousands of dollars adopting babies from Asia and Russia and Africa--they can't get babies here. 1.3 million of them a year are being killed by abortion. That's not the fault of the pro-lifers--it's the fault of the mothers who are too selfish to give up 9 months of their life so someone else can live.

Furthermore, anyone who has ever counseled abortion-minded women knows that the vast majority of them who decide against abortion do NOT decide to place their babies for adoption--they decide to keep them.
