*Review the job information - the posting and all the requirements the employer seeks. Know how your qualifications fit their needs -and- be able to express that in an interview.
*Practice basic interview questions - a good source of those can be found on Internet job websites (careerbuilder.com, etc.)
*Dress appropriately for the job interview - which depends on the type of job you are seeking. The more professional in nature the dressier your appearance should be (shirt and tie for some - other jobs might require a suit). Clothing does not have to be expensive - just clean and wrinkle free.
*Arrive a few minutes early - make sure you know how to get there and give yourself plenty of time.
*Be extra nice to the receptionist - they talk!
*Make sure your responses are directly related to the questions and if you don't understand a question, politely ask for clarification - interviewers understand candidates are nervous.
*Smile - make eye contact.
*Ask for a business card at the end of the interview - this way you have the needed information to send a thank you note as a followup to the interview and seal the deal!
Good luck -

Show enthusiasm for the job. That means that you seem interested, and that you have done your homework and know enough about the employer that you can ask appropriate questions.
