First, you should get proper training from a natural family planner practitioner. Then you need to chart temp and cervical mucus for at least 3 months to establish a pattern.
Once you have done that, there is still a chance it won't work.
It's not something you can do just by counting how many days into her cycle she is.
Proper natural family planning has quite a good success rate. Taking a guess at fertile days has a very poor suceess rate. You need proper training (or at least a good book) to do it properly.

there is no safe period. There is a time where she is more prone to getting pregnant than others but can still get pregnant any day of the month. You should use double protection anyway. condoms to prevent disease and pregnancy and she should use something to further prevent pregnancy since nothing is 100%.

Well yeah... birth control pills are supposed to decrease the chances of having a baby... if you don't want one whats the problem? Take the birth control, it will be fine. Anytime without the condom is potential pregnancy, the sperm can stay inside the woman for quite a few days, so you can always get prgnant.

Did you have sex ed at your school? There is NO such thing as a safe period when having uprotected sex. If you don't want a baby then wrap him up!!! Condomns are the only barrier that prevent pregnancy and most STD's. If you really don't want a baby try abstinence.

it takes planning.

she can chart her temperature and cervical mucous for a few months to find out for sure when she ovulates, and then you can avoid having sex in the period of time where she is fertile.

of course it is not 100% and takes at least 3 or 4 cycles to get a good idea of everything, sometimes longer.

man do not fall for this crap. a woman can get pregnant at anytime and they tend to lie about birth control and when they really can have sex without the use of rubbers.

I learned my lesson on believing that a girl is on birth control but thank god she wasn't pregnant and i kicked her to the curb for lying and trying to trap me.
