All of the previous respondents have fairly ignored the fact that, to begin with, the issue of abortion is based on whether we can or cannot call a mass of cells, a "fetus," a "human." Are the two equivalent? Do any of you have memories of the womb? Do you have memories of even having been _alive_ as a 1- or 2-year-old, or of when your baby brother was brought home when you were age 3? No. I can personally say that I have no memories until about age 2. And it's likely many others don't have memories even as early as this.
If this is the circumstance, do you honestly think you personally, a mass of cells in a uterus, would even _know_ whether or not you had been "aborted"? What do the miscarried babies know about their "deaths"? Do you think they _know_ that they've been miscarried? Ridiculous. What you pro-lifers are doing is projecting some nonexistent voice onto these fetuses - and, if they were old enough to respond, they would probably tell you to screw off.
Secondly, teenagers are not just "taught" to go get abortions like lollipops if they have a little accident during sex. Teenagers are not that stupid, unless all of you personally recall being that stupid as teenagers. Do you think they have no conscience? You think they don't realize what they're doing? It's an enormous decision for anyone to have an abortion (teenagers certainly have the mind to grasp it; teenage girls were mothers at age 13 in past centuries) no matter what the age or place in life. Give women some credit.
And I do think the father should have a say in whether or not a child is aborted. The law penalizes the father for having had a 50 percent input in the making of the child - in the form of child support, as well as other ways - if the mother keeps a child. If a father wants full custody and is found capable by a court of law, there should be no reason he should not have the child. Mothers are certainly no more capable of properly raising a child by the pure fact of being female.

it'd would be time for a panic attack ! Birth control doesnt always work, my ex and I had one kid from the pill, another when her iud slipped, and one more one year after her tuballigation! We split! I wouldnt trade them for anything though. The heat of the moment knows no reason though, and as unfair as it may sound, women ultimately pay the price and do the 9 month thing then a life time of being a mom, so I would think if I were a woman, and women have much more sense about having sex then a guy who all he wants is gradificati0on now, should take the time to be prepaired, as in what ever method works for her.

No, I would not change my views. Personally I am opposed to abortion. I also completely support a woman's right to choose whether or not to have the baby.
Its not a man's business to enter into this argument - we're not women, and the consequences of having a child are easily avoidable by men.
Although I am personally totally opposed to abortion, I've lost two children to it... and I never stated my opinion - I supported the women as they agonized through the decision - I pointed out pro's and con's... and I went to the clinic. As I've done for a number of other female friends...
Though I disagree philosophically, it remains the woman's body.

I have, and should have, dominion over my own body. What is or is not "in" it, is no one's business but my own.
This having been said; I am sickened by how matter of fact young people have become about using abortion as birth control. I taught my kids personal responsibility in regard to sex.
I resent greatly how many parents neglect this responsibility.
Lastly, in response to the condom broke thing.......read the small print. When we engage in adult behavior, we should accept reponsibility for this action.
I just wish we could spend as much on education of all kinds as we do on this stupid war.

Nope, just goes to show that man can create whatever the hell he wants, but you can't avoid nature's course. And i will ALWAYS SAY..sex is a responsibility, if you feel grown and able enough to have sex, KNOWING the consequences, then when they come you better be freakin ready to handle it....
You can't abort lung cancer when yo *** smokes for so damn long ...you KNEW the consequences of smoking so when you sit on your death bed suffering, you have NO CHOICE but to deal with what you have...can't make it magically go away like abortion does.
People search too much for convenience in their lives THANK GOD my dad and mom didn't change their mind and go for abortion, because i'm the result of the EXACT same scenario you've mentioned. And my parents did the honorable thing and took up for their responsibilities and took care of me...well my dad took care of both me and my mom. And for that very reason i owe THEM EVERYTHING...so i make sure EVERYDAY i do my BEST to give back to them for showing their love...and i believe i've done that with every success.
So NO i wouldn't change my views at all, i'd be a man and take care of what i helped create. If she thinks she can't handle 2 hours of pain and then raising a child, let her give me the baby, and i'll suffer 18 years of raising the child on my own...and if i could take her place in bearing the child i'd do that too, cause apparently she isn't WORTH having that child if she's too caught up in the inconvenience of her decision to have sex.

The only thing that would change the minds of pro-lifers, if it were their daughter being raped my Osama Bin Laden. You can no more change their minds than George W. Bush can inflict our way of life on the people of Iraq. Do you pro-life warmongers understand that?

In my opinion, I love my body and soul. I do not believe that the State has the Right to tell me how I have my baby or not to have my baby. This is my body and I can do what I want It is a Health issue more tha Politics as usual.

Take all precautions against breeding by abstaining.
Or use the pill, and a condom.
Abortion is still killing a baby. It isn't the baby's fault that the condom broke or that you can't control yourself.

Please dont, That's a life you are talking about! I go to orphanage all the time to see those kids, people are being irresponsible, dont be like them.
You can be a proud mama when your kid grew up, but you will be in misery if you abort them, and you will think what if I did not about my baby.
I am suppose to be a papa by now, but my ex aborted my baby, If she would to give birth, I would be more than happy to keep my baby
