I heard singing your words helps. Practice reading out loud also for about 30 minutes per day. You can read anything.

Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Most likely your school system has a speech pathologist. That is a person who specializes in diagnosing and treating speech difficulties. Where I live, they are part of the public school system. I would recommend that you go to the office of the school where you attend, and ask someone there if you could contact (or be contacted by) that person.
And what ever you do - do not believe the garbage that other kids might say about your difficulties - kids (and some of them never grow up) can be real beasts. Speech problems can have many causes - none of them a reason to be down on yourself. And whatever you do, do not believe that you have to be this way forever - there is help out there - its just a matter of finding it.

One of the most eloquent speakers of the 20th century; Winston Churchil (He was the leader of Britain during World War II) also had a speech problem as a youngster - and he had a saying I'm very fond of....
"when you are going through hell, keep going"
Dont give up - ever.
Good Luck

I had that problem, and the school send me to a speech theraipst , which they should be doing for you. Some people just have trouble with thier speech, and that is no reason for a teacher to lower your grades. You parents should go down to that school and have a talk with them. I would say you proably need to see a speech therapist, and he can help you get back on the right track. For some people it is not easy to come up with the right words, when they are put on the spot, i know i still have that problem sometimes, but not as much as i did. So don't give up hope, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Think about what you want to say and rehearse it in your head first before you say it out loud. It may also help to do some journaling at night before you go to bed. Just to get the words flowing, you know.

You may want to go to a doctor....this may just be a symptom of a more serious problem.

Ask to have the school's/district's Speech and Language Specialist meet with you to assess your situation. You are entitled to free assistance at school if they determine you have a speech or language difficulty.

Go to your school counselor and ask about getting a speech therapist. Also See your doctor to rule out anything physical.
