My DVD burner seems to have lost its ability to burn DVDs. CDs can be burnt, just not DVDs. What could the problem be?

Try reinstalling the burning software. That should help. And check while burning DVD's that you you have not accidentally checked the options for burning a CD. Check your options first.

Maybe it's time to get a new burner. Sound like the laser in your burner is going bad. Pretty soon you won't be able to burn cds either.

need more info. Does it say burn failed (drive problem)? Does the dvd just not play in dvd players(check that you're using DVD-R disc and not DVD-RW)? Tell us step by step what you do to burn a dvd.
