Some friends and I spent 4 nights at the Castle Inn in NoLa and had several "ghostly" encounters. The Castle Inn is famous for being haunted by 2 separate ghosts---one, that of a valet who worked and lived there and two, that of a small girl who drowned on the property. (The child is known to haunt several homes in this particular area of the Garden District which was once her family's farmsite.

Anyway, while there, our party was the only one at the Inn and we were accorded some additional courtesies by the management. They gave us the keys to ALL the rooms because we were the only people there and we were interested in hauntings. Anyway, one night the manager left and we were there alone. We were all watching tv in one suite when we heard someone running up the spiral staircase. We all went into the hall, but no one was there. Then we heard running down the staircase but we could SEE there was no one there. A small table in the foyer started shaking violently. It shook us up a bit.

That night, I laid my gaudy earrings on the bedside table and went to sleep. Something woke me in the night and I rolled over onto my earrings. They had been placed onto my bed!

The next night I had a cough and got up to make tea and to avoid waking my roommate. There was a small sitting room off the bathroom and I reclined on the sofa to drink my tea. The toilet flushed right in front of my eyes. No one was there.

My other friends had a problem with someone playing with their room fan over their bed as they slept. Someone (or something) kept turning it on even though they kept turning it off.

Anyway, that's my experiences at the Castle Inn. I never felt threatened in anyway, but I did feel as if someone was trying to make their presence known to us. I hope that is the kind of story you were interested in.

I stayed at the Brittania Adelphi hotel in Liverpool, England, and the place was about as haunted as they come! To make matters worse, the corridors looked like something out of The Shining, so even without the hauntings it was spooky enough!

I saw a lady in a white circa 1900 dress, walking through the foyer, I had a 'true' dream of a man walking through cobbled streets, and there were horses and people in old clothes everwhere - and I went to bed with my jewellery on, and woke up to find it all sitting neatly on the floor next to my bed.

I won't be going back there!

I have had several stories i could tell . One my son the day after his death, came to me in daylight, letting me know he was ok and in a save place.

Also when i would go home for college break my mother and her new husband livied in this house, and the woman who had lived there before, always wore lielot purfume. Well i was helping my mother make some things, and i was sitting on the couch, and all of a sudden i could sell lillots, and it fealt that someone was leaning on me. All she really wanted to do was see what i was making.

When my father died at the age of 39, he did not like us staying up late and watching tv. There was no light in the basement, and the table saw had been sold after his death, but when you went down there , a light was on, and you could hear the table saw. Also he keapt turning the stations on the tv. finally we got the message and turned it off. He unplugged it, and then the tv came on, and was going through stations, but the tv was not plugged in. So we got the message there too.

I haven't seen a spirit straight ahead in physical form that I know of. But they do send my signs all the time, it's just believing and learning to read them. We had a friend die not to long ago, when we got home from the funeral I was looking for a specific picture of her. Within a day or so my 1year old son walked into my bedroom and handed me the picture. This is one way spirit communicate with us to let us know they are listening and OK.

well when my daughter was born i noticed a flowery smell in her room that was never there before, and when got sick it smelled even stronger, well one day i put her in her crib to go get a sandwich, when i came back to check on her, her pacifier was in her mouth, now i left it on top of her dresser, and since then it smelled very strongly of flowers! Nobody else was in the house and she was only 3 months old at the time. And i don't wear any type of perfume either! it really freaked me out!

It was a cold dark dreary night. In a burial forest in London Ontario, I was alone summoning demons to rise from hell. My objective you ask? To send my demonic legions on a quest to stop people from supporting this idiotic Yahoo answers forum. Then suddenly I pooped my pants, I had horrible diarrhea. I had Stomach flu of sorts. So I walked home to clean my foamy explosion. Smashing the viral goo into a stinky pulp! When, behold my undergarments! The smell made me white as a ghost. I looked into the mirror and scared the bejesus out of myself. It was freaky. That’s my scary story.
