Head it off at the pass. You said it's starting, so apparently you've gone through this before. Do you really want to go through it again?? Take control and decide that you will not be a victim. It's up to you.

If you don't feel that you are yet strong enough, consider taking meds (doctor prescribed) of course.

One thing that helps me to get over feeling lonely for myself is reading the scriptures.

Also, I have found that serving others really lifts my spirits and makes it so I don't focus on my own problems. You can do lots of things like volunteer in a school, visit a nursing home, help in a community center or after-school program, etc. to serve others and help get a little perspective on your own life.

Don't forget to count your blessings! If you have food to eat and clean water to drink you're much better off than many other people in the world.

Merry Christmas and God bless!

do something for someone else. It'll get your mind off your woes & help someone at the same time. I contacted a local church to see if they knew of a family that wouldn't be able to purchase Christmas gifts ... got the ages of the kids and went a discount store and bought some inexpensive toys ... wrapped them and dropped them at the church. made a big difference for me this year.

No matter what you are going through, there are other people going through the same emotions. You are not alone in your depression.

Think ahead to Dec. 26th, make it your "Happy, Happy, Day" and do something special for yourself!

Volunteer your time to help in a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter. You will definitely lose the blues.
