Why did you choose to do it and did you find it gross or not?

Haven't had any completely flooded streets here since I'm a barefooter, but there have been rains that created quite large puddles, sometimes covering most of the street or trail at least at a certain point. It's fun to be able to walk straight through and watch the shod folks carefully pick their way around trying to keep their shoes dry and clean. :-)

Yes, I' am from New Orleans, La. I walk barefoot on a flooded street during Hurricane Katrina and yes it was gross. It isn't fun.

no i have walked across a flooded street to get home (up to my waist) during a hurricane in melbourne florida, but i wore my shoes. you can't see where you're stepping so safety was a concern.

lt was years ago but l'm wearing my school shoes as l'm going to my friend's house. lt was a terrible downpour and the streets are flooded up to the knee.
lt's a yucky feeling.
