Einstein was reputedly dyslexic and had such difficulty tying his shoe laces that he always wore slip-ons. Perhaps you have just been testing your hamster in the wrong areas. Have you tried encouraging him to read more quantum theory?

don't worry, einstein failed a lot of tests as a kid, i'm sure your hamster will come around
just make sure you get it out of its cage once in a while to work on some physics and math problems

I always name my hamsters after food and I haven't been wrong yet.
