I'm not self-employed. I work for a company as a regular employee. I want to know what kinds of receipts I should keep when I file taxes the next year. Donations? Anything work related? Payments on a car loan? I want to be very thorough! I will keep anything if helps lower my taxes!

Ny receipt that supports a number that you have shown on your tax return. You probably don't have a receipt for everything. If you spent the money and it is deductible I would still put it on the return. The worst thing that can happen is that they disallow it on audit.
