It's not really right or wrong - it's just what you want out of life. Some people swear off sex too - or other available things, like eating meat. Emotional involvement with other people is the only route to love and therefore to happiness. It is plagued with pain and dangers. So - ? Pick your poison. If you elect to isolate yourself emotionally, eventually your loneliness will eat you alive, resulting in either addiction, psychosis, or suicide. Also, until then your life will be flat - boring. It's the same dilemma that faces everyone. Some just don't realize it yet, cause they're still in the lather of emotional connection that usually accompanies youth. By the way, it doesn't always end badly. It's like running a football play. Usually you get handed your ***, but one time in about twelve or fifteen or twenty, you score. When you score in love, your life becomes Heaven on earth. I look at it this way - either way, love or isolation, we're going to get hammered. Either by loss of love or by loneliness. But with the one, you at least MIGHT win - with the other, you can't win anything. So - wtf. If we're gonna hurt, let's at least hurt TOWARDS something, some goal.

If you have a bigger problem with being cold and emotionless, then maybe you should investigate. Otherwise, from what I've read, a large portion of expressions of grievance at funerals is acting.
You ever heard that one song that goes, "I'm the kind of guy that laughs at a funeral." It was a pretty popular song which suggests to me that the idea of not feeling sad when someone dies is not controversial.

Anger is an emotion. Some people feel cheated when a close friend/relative dies.
You are not emotionless -- just have a different way of expressing it.

you need to find your self -meaning for your life
ask yourself how where you raised, some things are a reflection of your past
my dad was in the marines and i always felt like the bad guy growing up
so i grew up with anger problems but in my mind i feel like i only get angry with ignorance.

I've been accused of apathy as well.
All I can say about a dead relative, is take the time to grieve at that moment, save yourself the pain that comes later on, when all the emotions hit you full force. And believe me they will.

Just try to ask yourself....why do you feel that way? Is there any situation that made you distant and cold....if yes...try to forgive the others that hurt you...or forgive yourself...and move on.
don't worry It is just a phase probably.

The grieving process isn't the same for everyone. Some people are simply resilient.

Could be depression. I'm sure there are other factors that play into the way you feel, so think about it carefully.
