Well - Now you open the internet window, click the 'tools' menu, click 'general tab - Home - type the address in the address bar and 'click for the default 'which page to use your home page' ' "use current".
Open the downloaded or programme or favourite folders or at start up - somewhere the 'coolpics' are taking rest awaiting your connection. Take out the root and destroy. It is not difficult.

.

Select Tools -> Internet Options. and there in Address, select "Use Blank".

If still the problem persists, then select Tools -> Internet Options -> Security. There select "Restricted Sites" and then click "sites" button. Now type the address of that coolpic to that window and add it and give ok. Close your Internet Explorer and open it again newly.

Right-click on IE. Click on properties. Type in (a new address) in the address bar for home page. (Example: "http://www.msn.com" without the quotes) Click on apply. Click on OK. That should change your browser settings. Now, get a firewall, (free: www.zonelabs.com for ZoneAlarm) and, for heaven's sake, get a security suite as soon as you can.
