How do you get Action Replay to work for PS2?

Question

When the disc is put in it says
"Please insert formatted disc"
If it is made for playstation 2 why does it say this
Plz explain in detail what to do

Well it may be scratched, or this is a possibility found with the older versions of action replay. On some discs for earlier action replays they do not work with certain ps2's because of the release date. You can ether trade the action replay back or buy a new ps2 (don't =P.)
