The title is starting to grow on me, as I think it sets the appropriate tone for the final book.
NOTE to Harp and FIRE, above: don't confuse the word Hallows with the word Hollow (as in Godric's and Sleepy); they're two different words.
The best analysis of the title I've seen so far can be found here:

I think it indicates where the final battle will happen, in Godric's Hallow, since it's where it all started and it should be where it all ends, but I gotta say it is a bit grim, but sure fits the idea of killing a lot of people off in the book

I'm quite sure it refers in some measure to Godric's Hollow but some how that seems to easy and I wouldn't be surprised if its in reference to something else entirely that hasn't been introduced yet.
I think I like it but will have to wait for the book to see if it fits.

its not a harry potter title. i was expecting something huge and great, but i like the other titles better. sure it will relate to the book seeing as shes killing o;f a whole bunch of people but its still really gooey (sad gloomy grim down taking). i don't really like it. i wish i knew what the other choices were.
who do you think she will kill harry, voldamort, or both?

Deathly Hallows...a bit grim. But, the title always has a direct connection to the story, so what I want to know is, what's a Deathly Hallow?

Personally, the whole series is overblown with hype. But I think up until now, the titles were done tastefully and full of flair, but this last one just sucks eggs.

Can't say I'm impressed. It just doesn't sound... Harry-Potterish. Bleh.

It's intriguing, isn't it? Sparked a lot of discussions here about what it might mean....
