My heart goes out to you. Sometimes, I curb myself from overspending for Christmas because I know there are people out there having financial difficulties. I am glad you still have a positive mindset and keep yourself in good faith in the midst of your difficulties. Don't worry, God sees us through everything in life. Take care and God Bless!

Find someone that you and your kids can do something for. It doesn't have to be something that costs money. Visit a nursing home on Christmas day. Tell them you're all going to be Santa for the old people.
Go to a church that is feeding Christmas Dinner to those who are alone. Offer to help. Let them know what you're going through. You'll find a lot of support there, and probably one of the truest Christmas spirit gatherings you've had in a long time. And your children will LOVE giving to help others.
God Bless. I am hiding this year feeling badly for myself and thinking about following my own advice here. But i'm alone, I can pull it off...you've got children....this will men a lot to them..at first they may not want to do it, but they'll come away with a different point of view.
MERRY Christmas sweetie. This may not be a rich material christmas, but it wil be a rich spiritual one.

Just recently found out I don't have cancer. I still pitched a fit when one of our housemates went to the gym and didn't pick up the Xmas tree. I just asked him if he wants to celebrate at all, because they want someone to work on Xmas day. His complaint was that we don't have the big parties that we had 6 years ago. What can I say, several key people died and everyone has gone different ways. I'm still sick and can't drink or do mind altering substances so I will be watching for what others do.

Begrateful for what you have. Work out a budget and pay your immediate bills.Put your children first and remember that you at least have a roof over your heads. My suggestion for menu plans is ear heaps of noodles and pasta. They are cheap and easy meals.Good luck.

Volunteer at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter. Life won't seem so rough then.
