Just wondering because the website doesn't give a good description. Do I have to buy the game from like Best buy, then download it and then pay $15 a month to play it forever?! If so, that is really strange because I already bought it! If not, then thanks for telling me...

Welcome to the fun world of mmorpg's. Some versions come with a month or two free, but after that you have to pay a monthly fee to keep playing. Then, when an expansion pack comes out, you'll have to buy that too. LOL! Whoever thought this up is swimming in a pool full of money. Right. Now.

Actually, my friend (who works in a Best Buy) buys subscription cards. Sure, he gets them on discount, but $50 for a year is better than $15 a month. But still, you pay as you play, whether it's monthly or subscription based. It's to cover the cost of having the servers running, and the Blizzard people play the game with everyone else to make sure there's no trouble inside their world.

Yes, there is a monthly subscription to the game. I know it doesn't sound fair, but this allows the administrators to keep the game updated and cheats minimal. Right now there are like 7 million subscribers or something ridiculous like that. But in all fairness, it is worth the price to play, especially if you have some buds playing that you can team up with.
