ring finger on your right hand

2006-12-21 17:44:42 · answer #1 · answered by H0NEY~BEE 5 · 1 0

Generally the promise ring is suppose to be worn on the right hand for only the wedding ring is worn on the left or if you are engaded you also wear it on the left but all other rings are suppose to be worn on the right. Cause you want to start out on the right foot and then when you are engaded or married you have left the dateing world and all the jerks or bitches behind. Just a way to remember what hand is the hand to put the ring on. Hope this helps and good luck.

I think they are supposed to be worn on the ring finger. How do you get a promise ring? Tell me the stages, I'm trying to get an engagement ring. Is that the same as a promise of engagement?

A promise ring can be worn on any finger on the left or right hand, although ring fingers are far preferred. Most often it is the left ring finger, but due to engagement confusion, the right ring finger is finding acceptance in today's world.

They go on the left ring finger just like a engagement ring & wedding band. A promise ring is bascally a engagement ring except u r promising her that in the future u r going to propose to her. I just thought u would like to know.

both my daughters wear theirs on their left ring finger, once married it is replaced with a wedding ring, the promise ring then goes onto the right hand, any finger. as far as i am aware a promise ring is a promise from the father to nurture, protect, guide and love his daughter unconditionally. once married although this wouldnt alter, it is her husband that she will look to for these attributes as well...Hope this helps, Merry Christmas

I wear mine on my left ring finger, just waiting for my engagement ring now..
:]

I have heard of some people that don't believe in wearing anything on their left ring finger till they are engaged, so a right ring finger is okay too.
It's just all up to the lady.

It depends on your preference. I use to wear it on my right when i just got it but then as the relationship progressed, i could see myself with this person so i started to wear it on the left. My personal preferences i guess. Unless it's a huge diamond, I don't think people will not mistaken it for an engagement ring.
