I was an eBay member since '02, a heavy eBay user both buying and selling. I had 100% feedback - not one unhappy buyer, ever. I was listed on eBay as a TA. Then last month I was suspended because I was accused of being linked to another suspended user which I wasn't and I didn't know the person they linked me to. I emailed them my appeal, waited a week, and my account was reinstated. I asked why it was suspended in the first pace and was told it was an error. Then a week later I was suspended again, this time for abusing ebay - no other info. They also suspended my mother's, brother's, sisterinlaw's and brotherinlaw's account. None of us live in the same house or ever logged on to ebay from my computer, we only share a very unique last name. Ebay refuses to reinstate me and ignores my emails and those of my family. I've complained to the BBB (nothing) and my local attorney general (nothing). Anywhere else I can complain?? This is ridiculous...thanks.

I did call, twice. Ist time I talked to a useless drone, 2nd time I was forwarded to a voicemail box for the executive offices and never received a call back.

No I did not shill bid and would never have family do it for me, either. I didn't even know my extended family had ebay accounts until I saw them like a month later and they mentioned they weren't happy because they were suspended because of me. I prided myself on being an honest seller and buyer but apparently it doesn't make a difference to ebay. Most of the auctions were BIN anyways so even if I wanted to shill bid it would be pointless.

Infobod: Do you have any magazine recommendations that care about consumer issues like this?

I'm primarily an ebay trading assistant (I sell others' stuff) so I don't have my own products or stock to create an estore. Besides most people want to get their stuff on ebay because of all the visibility the item(s) would get.

Unfortunately eBay has become so powerful and such a big name with heavily paid lawyers that they do not care about any of their errors or actions anymore, however wrong they might be and how they affect peoples businesses lives. and you would need a lot of money and time to fight them.

They have become a kind of a DICTATOR now who don't care who they piss off because they can get away with it.

If you have not "really" done anything wrong according to the eBay's rules, then keep calling them until you get it resolved.Be a pest.

If you are a seller, try setting up your own web site to sell through as a back up just in case this happens again and again so that you do not end up so dependent on eBay for your business.

Get a suitable domain name and a web hosting plan, build a simple web site of your own and put your items there instead.

One place you can try is http://www.EZDomainWorld.com
They have all the tools you need to set you up and going in no time. It worked for me.
Good luck

Did you shill bid? where you got your relatives to bid on you auctions to raise the price. That is a big nono with ebay and is most likely the reason is everyone in your family was suspended.
good luck with you ebay problems.
