I was wondering which mp3 player is better suited for videos.

I know iTUNES has some of the latest tv shows available for purchase. My question is: how do you get shows like "LOST" on the Zen? Is that possible?

Also, how does one get DVDs on their ZEN and/or iPOD?

I want to buy the mp3 player on which I can view both tv shows and dvd's... which is one is better suited for my needs?

I am thinking about the same player because I'm not a big Ipod fan.

In terms of DVDs, what you do is use a ripper such as Imtoo DVD ripper platinum and rip to a number of formats suited for non-ipod players. My first option would be to rip straight to Div X, which is an AVI file that will be around 600 mb. You can then transfer this to your player in one step. The time it takes to rip to div x is around 40 minutes for a full DVD. I already do it for my pocket pc phone but I have to do a second step to shrink it down to pocket div x format, so a bit of work, but I get awesome frame rates and small file size. I heard that playing div x straight onto the creative player is really good.

For TV shows, if you have a Tivo, you can get tivo to go, which will allow you to view the video on your player easily. You could also record tv straight onto your PC using a tv tuner. Choose a file format size that suits the player and then transfer the file to your player.

A lot of people don't know how to do this, and so they get suckered into buying an Ipod and buy TV shows! You can find most tv shows on file sharing networks or do it yourself via tivo or recording onto your own computer using an inexpensive tv tuner via usb such as WinTV.

The thing about the Ipod is that you have to have the video in the certain format and with the Zen u can have any format, it isin't as popular but i think is is cheaper and it is more practical
