I believe the same thing as you. I think Snape is innocent and even if Dumbledore IS dead, I believe it was all a part if his plan.
Anyone who has visited the www.dumbledoreisnotdead.com website cannot still think that Dumbledore and Snape didn't have a plan. I mean come on, people! This is Joanne Kathleen Rowling we're talking about! She;s the writer that makes us truly believe something only to prove us the complete opposite in the next chapter/book/paragraph. When it comes to Harry Potter, everything has a deeper meaning.

First off, he was hit directly with the Killing Curse. Second, He fell from the top of the Astrology/Astronomy tower, at least ten stories up afterwards. Not only was he dead, but his body was broken. Besides, I saw it coming since Draco showed the Dark Mark to the store owner.
If you want my opinion on who I think isn't really dead, it's Black. He only disappeared through an evil curtain. He can still come back. Somehow. I hope so at least...
But, Dumbledore is DEAD. You do make sense, however. But, there's no escaping the bright green flash if it hits you. Harry had his sacrificed mother's love. Dumbledore had what?
Also, unlike the Final Fantasy series, Pheonix Down can't cure death in this instance. And Dumbledore would never use Dark Magic such as a horcrux.

I don't know what to think. My friend Sean told me that he doesn't think Dumbledore's dead, and that he could've used a Horcrux, thus still be alive. I really don't agree with that, though, because I doubt Dumbledore killed someone. But still, he could have some kind of secret, so you never know.
I personally think he's still alive simply because he's more powerful than Voldemort. He's the most powerful Wizard alive. Voldemort used the Avara Kedavara curse on Harry to try and kill him. But it rebounded off of Harry and hit him, more powerful than it was when it had been cast. It didn't kill him. If the most powerful curse can be strengthened and not kill Voldemort, then why would it kill Dumbledore? I mean, if that's the case, then there is no way that Dumbledore would be killed, cos that would mean that VOLDEMORT is the more powerful one. And he's not.

I think he is definitely dead. My main arguments for this is that the curse on Harry was lifted when Snape cast the spell. Dumbledore was weak to begin with, and even though he's a brilliant man, I don't think he had the power at that moment to think of all of this. I think Dumbledore felt that Harry knew enough to be getting on with by himself and that Snape was more valuable to their side, being a spy and all. Also, his portrait was hanging on the wall in the headmaster's office, and only dead headmasters' portraits are hung there. Finally, if you look at Rowling's books, they follow a very traditional mentor/student pattern that can be found in most mythological stories (where Rowling gets a lot of her inspiration). Dumbledore takes Harry under his wing to teach him what he needs, but in the end, the hero has to fight the final battle on his own.

Sorry to say it was a must happen. Unless Snape is Dumbledore using Polijuice potion. I wouldn't put it past him. It was hinted a couple of times in the book when Snape complained his ingredients were missing. Why would he want those ingredients unless he was making it himself :) I guess we will find out in a year.

I also used to think that Dumbledore wasn't dead or at least he had planned that he would die like that until about two months ago when JK Rowling was asked in an interview if Dumbledore was really dead and she said that he was definitely dead and he wasn't coming back to life at all.
I was shattered but I still believe that Dumbledore planned his death and told Snape to kill him.

For all your questions, there is a very simple site called dumbledoreisnotdead.com. It doesn't say that dumbledore isn't dead exactly, but it gives you concrete evidence found in all of the six books and it gives you possible outcomes. Hopefully it helps answer your question.

unfortunately he is really dead because if he wasn't snape would be due to the promise he gave. But I believe that Dumbledore knew about it and he was ready to die because snape is the only one who can help harry face you know who!
