The center of the shopping district here is at Pine St. and 5th Ave. and then extends out from there. Westlake Center and Pacific Place are the two malls within that area. There is also Pike Place Market at Pike St. and 1st Ave. for more eclectic shops, fresh flowers and produce. All the other malls are located out in neighboring towns or suburbs and will take some time and patience to get to. If driving out of town be sure to get good directions and you'll be fine. But if relying on public transportation set aside extra time because the buses usually only run every half hour and it's not always a direct route to where you need to go. (The buses here can be especially frustrating when you are from a larger city.) Buy yourself something nice!

In Downtown Seattle there are alot of big stores like Old Navy and Gap and Coach and Nike and Adidas and stuff like that.
There is Bellvue Square, and Alderwood mall also.
Near Alderwood mall is I think called Lincon Square where there is great dining. There is a movie theatre next to the mall, as well as a restaurant called McGrath's Fish House and Claim Jumper.

The best mall in the Seattle area is going to be Southcenter. They offer the most selection as far as they stores that they have to offer and plus it's really nice since they fixed it up. Northgate is alright, it's a quieter mall being one of the smallest malls in the Seattle area they have a few really good stores but not a lot. If you able to travel Bellevue mall is nice as well. A bus ride to Bellevue mall from downtown Seattle doesn't take very long at all. But southcenter hands down is going to be your best bet.
