Employees in the food service industry used to have to wear them. That is why I did. Then later when I taught Anatomy and Physiology, the school I taught at required we teachers depersonalize ourselves and if your hair was long it had to go up. Mine was so I made a bun when I taught and used a hairnet around it to keep it up.

If you are working around food, you need one, either that or a hat that covers all of your hair.
