I remember I just to be thrilled with movies' special effects and so whenever I went out for a Tuesday's night movie back in 1982-1985; "how did they do that!?" I don't have that thrilling and exciting feeling anymore with today movies knowing that most of the special effects can easily made with computer's animation. Do you feel the same?

Well, technology has its leaps and bounds since the 80s, and while it is still developing, the acceleration is certainly slowed.
Most importantly, it is so common for special effects to be used in movies nowadays so it does not excite people as much anymore. It used to be few movies which would have special effects, remember? And even if they do, the effects weren't as fascinating.
Therefore, I would say it's not just you, because I feel the same too.

I still think that movie special effects are cool, I mean when an explosin come up out of nowhere I jump up along with half of the theatre. There was one movie that I cant remember, it was either Lord of the rings 3 or starwars 3 but at one part of the movie something happened and I can remember the whole theatre just move upward, I dont think I saw a single person that didnt jump, it was just like everybody went up.

its not just you, I started to go of special effects when movies became nothing but special effects.
I prefer not to realize i am looking at special effects all the time. It just makes the experience feel like i am playing a game on my computer.
The best ones are the ones you don't even realize are there. or the ones you know are unique and special, like the old star wars movies that use puppets and miniatures.
I have friends of course who swear by ILM, but I hold fast, old moves may not be as clean and realistic as the new ones but it add character and a 'wow' factor you don't see anymore.
