I should add that Alex is the alternative personality of Tristan. Neither of each know about the other.
Alex works for the NSA who belives that he is a psychic. He has an IQ of 197, but Tristan is his exact opposite who has the same capabilities as Alex except he spreads his abilities out instead of clustering them together like Alex does. Of course Alex only exists when Tristan is off of his medication. If Alex could become more like Tristan, then he may be able to beat the odds. Of course, if Tristan dies, then Alex dies. If Tristan is given medication, then Alex will not exist. Alex is the only one who possess enough IQ to fix Tristan's espionage.
I know, the plot is complex, and I have not discussed what Tristan is actually doing, but my readers have over 400 pages to soak it up.
