We all get stuck on what to write in a card. But, we're in luck, because there are standard phrases to use. Seriously, that's why they exist!

And yet, I know you want to add a personal touch. Try this: start with "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year", and add to it something simple but heartfelt, such as, "Thank you for everything you've done for me!" or maybe, "I'm looking forward to next semester!".

The only thing to watch out for is anything that makes you look like a suck-up ("You're the best teacher ever!!"), or love-struck ("You're so great!!").

Merry Christmas!

Keep it simple, thank them for being a great teacher, or tell them you are looking forward to next semester,or tell them what you like about the class, it's fun, or you know basketball is coming up next semester, and you love that. Be sincere, it will jump off the card at them. And wish them a Merry Christmas.

I've never heard of giving a Christmas card to a p.e. teacher, but stick to , Wishing you and your family a happy holiday season. I don't know what witty thing you can say to a p.e.teacher.

As I got older I realized that "Merry Christmas!" seems to work just fine in a card :-) Simple is good!
